The History of Marina Court
Marina Court was designed by the architect Pierce Arthur to blend in seamlessly with the Georgian style of the terrace. It was originally built in 1855 as a 3 storey home with an attic and basement. Before opening its doors as a guesthouse and hotel, Marina Court served as a WW2 maternity hospital and a Dr Barnardo's home before it.

Over the years the building has been extended and on the 12th December 1953 Marina Court was registered as a grade II listed building and it's exterior has remained unchanged since.

The stunning views from Marina Court overlooking Weymouth Bay and the perfectly situated location for the Jurassic Coastline are just part of the attractions that see holiday makers return each year making Weymouth one of the most popular holiday destinations in England.

In 2017 Weymouth beach was named as the UK's best beach and ranked 9th in Europe based on reviews and ratings by TripAdvisor travellers. In 2016 it won 2 awards from Keep Britain Tidy including a prestigious Blue Flag.
